Find the best medical marijuana dispensaries in Florida. Over 900,000 Floridians are actively registered in the state's medical marijuana program — here's everything you need to know about shopping at a Florida dispensary.
In Florida, medical marijuana dispensaries are officially referred to as Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTCs). The Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) is responsible for licensing all MMTCs throughout the state. Florida MMTCs are vertically integrated, meaning they oversee the entire cannabis process from cultivation to retail distribution.
Every dispensary has access to the Medical Marijuana Use Registry, allowing staff to confirm your patient status and view the recommendation entered by your physician. There is no legal obligation to stick to a single MMTC — patients are free to purchase from multiple dispensaries across Florida.

You can choose from a variety of cannabis products within the limits of your physician's recommendation. You are not required to purchase your entire milligram limit at once.
The legal purchasing limit for smokable cannabis is 2.5 ounces within a 35-day period, with a possession limit of 4 ounces at any time. Edibles have a maximum daily dose of 60 mg THC.
Monitor your remaining milligram balance via the State Registry. Remaining milligrams expire on their designated date, and raw cannabis flower is counted on a rolling 35-day balance.
