Medical Marijuana Evaluation

Our licensed Florida physicians will evaluate your condition and determine whether medical marijuana is the right treatment option for you — quickly, confidentially, and with same-day appointments available.

What Is a Medical Marijuana Evaluation?

A Medical Marijuana Evaluation is a consultation with a state-licensed Florida physician who is certified to recommend medical marijuana. During this evaluation, the physician reviews your medical history, assesses your qualifying condition, and determines whether medical marijuana is an appropriate treatment. If you qualify, the physician enters your certification into the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry, which is the first step toward receiving your official Medical Marijuana Card.

What to Expect at Your Evaluation

  1. Bring Your Medical Records

Bring any documentation of your diagnosis or prior treatment history. This helps the physician confirm your qualifying condition quickly and accurately.

  2. Review of Medical History

The physician will review your medical history and discuss your symptoms, current treatments, and how medical marijuana may benefit your condition.

  3. Physician Assessment

The physician conducts a thorough assessment to determine whether you have a qualifying condition under Florida law and whether medical marijuana is appropriate for your treatment plan.

  4. Certification & Registry Entry

If you qualify, the physician enters your certification into the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry — the secure state database that enables you to apply for your card.

  5. Guidance on Next Steps

After certification, our team will walk you through the OMMU application process, including the $75 state fee, so you can receive your Medical Marijuana Card as quickly as possible.
