What are the medical marijuana qualifying patient conditions?
Florida State patients suffering from ailments listed below are considered eligible for low-THC Cannabis:
Patients with cancer or a condition that causes chronic seizures or chronic muscle spasms may qualify to receive low-THC cannabis. Low-THC cannabis has very low amounts of the psychoactive ingredient THC and does not usually produce the “high” commonly associated with cannabis.
Florida State patients suffering from ailments listed below are considered eligible for Medical Cannabis:
If a patient is suffering from a terminal condition, as determined by two physicians, the patient may qualify for medical cannabis. This product can contain sufficient levels of the psychoactive ingredient THC to produce the “high” commonly associated with cannabis.
Is there an appointed department overseeing medical marijuana?

As of today, there are 232 dispensaries allowed to operate in Florida. – View Dispensary Locations
Number of Dispensaries Allowed?
As of November 2016, there are currently 232 Dispensing Organizations in Florida. Each dispensing organization must receive authorization at 3 stages prior to dispensing medical cannabis or Low-THC products. The three stages are:
- Cultivation Authorization
- Processing Authorization
- Dispensing Authorization
Are testing labs allowed?
They will now be allowed, but details are currently severely lacking. Reforms may happen in the future.
